Al–Bad Museum for Olive Oil Production


The Al Badd Museum in al Najajreh Quarter in the Old city of Bethlehem showcases the 18th -century vernacular architecture of the local Giacaman family, one of the eight indigenous clans. The museum exhibits the 5,000-year history of olive oil production in Palestine, featuring a traditional "Badd" oil press used by families like the Giacamans. The museum underwent renovations funded by the Palestinian government, UNDP, and the French Consulate.
