The Last Supper Room

It is also known as the Last Supper Room and is situated on the Mount of the Prophet David, to the south of the Church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary. According to tradition, this is where Christ shared the Last Supper with his disciples, washed their feet, and appeared to them after his resurrection. The current two-story building was constructed by Franciscan monks in the 14th century AD, atop the remains of churches dating back to Roman, Byzantine, and Crusader times. The ground floor of the building houses the tomb of the Prophet David.
