The Palestinian Heritage Trail is a long-distance cultural hiking route in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, spanning approximately 500 kilometers. The trail extends from Rummana village in the northwest near Jenin, to Beit Mirsim in the southwest near Hebron, and back to Artas in Bethlehem. It also includes a newly developed segment starting in Eizariya, passing through the Old City of Jerusalem, and continuing towards the northwestern villages of Beit Suriq and Beit Duqqo.
Along the way, the trail traverses more than 60 Palestinian cities, villages, and local communities, allowing travelers to immerse themselves in the authentic Palestinian hospitality and cultural traditions. Beyond just a hiking route, the Palestinian Heritage Trail serves as a platform for cultural exchange and connection. Hikers can explore Bedouin communities, savor traditional Palestinian cuisine, and forge friendships with both local Palestinians and fellow travelers from around the world. The trail invites visitors not only to experience the natural beauty but also to recognize shared values and change their perspectives through these meaningful connections.
