The Educational Museum
The construction of the museum began in 2005 when it was built in the traditional style, and through the construction, the past and the present were merged, which indicates the Palestinian cultural heritage, and the identity of the region. The museum is characterized by a beautiful yard that contains waterfalls and hangouts.
The museum includes three main sections: The Biology section, which has a group of animals such as mummified birds and reptiles, and educational figures and posters, which benefit museum visitors. In addition, the section includes a mummified giraffe.
The second section is called the Agricultural Museum, as it contains many types of dried plants and grass and explains each type of them. There is also a model of a water well that simulates the mechanism of drilling traditional wells in Palestine, and its uses. It also contains a model of the kingdom of bees with detailed explanations about bees and honey, and their related issues.
The third section is called (the Museum of Geology and Space), and it contains valuable exhibits, such as the volcano model that releases lava, the dinosaur model, the space shuttle "Discovery," and a group of fossils, some of which are more than 65 million years old. The museum also includes an educational school for Botany, and a theater planted with different types of plants.
It is an educational museum affiliated with the Qalqilya Zoo, containing several facilities.
