The Shrine of Jacob's Daughters

The shrine is located in the suburb of Irtah, south of Tulkarem. The building consists of two floors: the lower floor dates back to the Roman period, while the upper floor dates back to the Mamluk period. It is distinguished by its domes and contains a chamber with an attached niche, along with a basement that leads to the ground floor.

In front of the building, there are two limestone pools and two cabins from the Roman period. Nearby, there is a modern building associated with pottery manufacturing, known as Al-Fukhara, which contains a pottery furnace.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, in cooperation with Tulkarm Municipality, restored and rehabilitated the site between 2002-2004 through a project funded by the UNDP aimed at rehabilitating cultural heritage sites in the northern West Bank. The project also included the development of a park adjacent to the shrine to promote local and international tourism. Permanent security for the site was established, and a group of employees was assigned to maintain it.
