An-Nazla ash-Sharqiya

An-Nazla ash-Sharqiya

Located northwest of Tulkarm, approximately 20 km from the city center, Al-Nazlah Al-Sharqiyya is a small agricultural village covering about 4,800 dunums. It is bordered to the east by Kafr Ra'i and Ya'bad, to the north by Fraseen, to the south by Seida, and to the west by Al-Nazla Al-Wusta.

Mentioned in surveys of Western Palestine as an agricultural village dating back to the Ottoman period, Al-Nazlah Al-Sharqiyya is noted for its olives and farming, as detailed by Mustafa Murad al-Dabbagh. The village is home to three significant archaeological sites: Al-Qusayr, Khirbet Al-Hamam, and Al-Mukhal.

Al-Qusayr is a Roman archaeological site covering about 20 dunums, featuring notable ruins including building foundations, caves, and tombs.  Additionally, remnants of a large castle or palace built from massive stones have been discovered west of Al-Qusayr, situated on a high hill overlooking the Palestinian coast.
