The Oak of Abraham
This is an ancient oak tree located in the vicinity of the Russian Orthodox Church in Hebron. It is believed that this oak tree has a connection with Abraham. According to tradition, this is the place where Abraham pitched his tent and received the three angels. The oak is considered one of the landmarks of the city of Hebron, with a church having been established next to it since the Ottoman era.
This large tree has become a magnet for tourists from all over the country, who believe that visiting it brings them good fortune and happiness. Visitors used to take parts of its branches for this purpose. However, to preserve the remaining tree, which now has large, weathered roots, a fence has been erected around it to prevent tourists from touching its branches and remnants.
This oak tree is highly revered and considered an important site in Hebron, with its association with the prophet Abraham, peace be upon him, adding to its historical and cultural significance.
