Al-Istiqlal University

This university is the newest and the first to specialize alone without the university institutions in Palestine, with higher education in security, military, and police sciences. The construction of this university began in 1998. Still, due to the obstacles, it was opened and started operating in 2007 under the name of the Palestinian Academy for Security Sciences. In 2011, it was converted into a university, and its teaching system relies on the Arabic and English languages. The university provides the students' food, housing, and laundry needs. The student can go to the library directly, or have access via Internet, using the library's website. Its official working hours, are from Saturday to Wednesday.

The university vision

Al-Istiqlal takes continuous steps towards progress to achieve development plans, and meet the university's and its cadres' needs. Also, it seeks to expand the specializations and programs, in addition to permanent improvement based on all military, academic, administrative, and service levels. Developing the field skills of students and officers, and their practical capabilities to employ them in performance and security behavior in a proper manner, entrenching the spirit of national values and commitment, and striving for a full partnership between Al-Istiqlal University, and all Palestinian security services, and promoting the horizons of cooperation in line with the lofty goals of the National University to prepare qualified officers Knowledgeably, scientifically, and practically on the ground.
