Husan

The village of Husan is located approximately 8 kilometers to the west of the city of Bethlehem, within a mountainous region with an elevation ranging between 750 and 900 meters above sea level. This scenic location provides the residents of Husan with a stunning view of the western countryside and the Palestinian coastal plain. The mountainous terrain of Husan has contributed to the abundance of natural springs that have sustained the village's population throughout its history. In fact, some of these springs and the village's centuries-old agricultural terraces have collectively been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2014 under the file "Palestine: Land of Olives and Vines - Cultural Landscape of Southern Jerusalem, Battir".

The most famous of these springs in Husan is Ein al-Hawiya, which contains a captivating two-chambered cave. Visitors can enter the cave through an 18-meter long tunnel that leads to a large pool used for water collection and swimming.
