Fatima Khatun School
an educational, historical, and archaeological edificeThe building was built in 1883 AD, by order of the governor of Sidon, to be the headquarters of the ruler and his residence place. In 1955 AD, the building was transformed into Hittin Preparatory School for Boys. It continued as a school for boys until 1978 AD, after which it turned into a school for girls and was called Fatima Khatoun School, after Fatima Khatoun, the daughter of Al-Ashraf Qansuh al-Ghuri, who established the mosque opposite Al-Saraya building previously.
The building has two floors, with a central courtyard in the middle. The first floor consists of six arches and two opposite stone staircases leading to the second floor, which consists of U-shaped arcades. The roof is a cross arch of bricks, and the entrance to the building is characterized by its overlapping arches, and on either side of it are two windows.
