Ein Arik
Ein Arik is a Palestinian town located about 7 kilometers west of Ramallah, surrounded by the villages of Deir Ibzi', Ein Qiniya, Beit Ur al-Tahta, and Beitunia, and situated approximately 550 meters above sea level. Renowned for its ancient history that dates back to the Canaanite period, Ein Arik boasts picturesque landscapes enhanced by the Kafrin Valley and abundant springs, contributing to its fertile agricultural lands where olives, almonds, walnuts, grapes, and pomegranates thrive. This village exemplifies the harmonious coexistence of Palestinian Muslims and Christians. Notable landmarks include the Church of the Dormition of the Virgin, built in 1862 on the ruins of earlier churches, Sheikh Hussein Mosque constructed by the Mamluk Pharisee, and old olive presses that reflect its rich agricultural heritage.
